Dr. Barbara L. Howard

 

Dr. Barbara L. Howard is the youngest of seven surviving children born to the late Lizzie Ann Hickman Howard (Walter Lee Howard) and the youngest of 14 of her father,  the late Hardin Nesbit (Virginia Nesbit).

 

Dr. Barbara L. Howard was born in New Albany, Mississippi.  She graduated from W. P. Daniel High School in 1987.  In school, she was an honor's student, basketball player, track runner, football cheerleader, yearbook and newspaper editor, and a member of numerous clubs.  She was a recipient of the coveted Speech Award her senior year.

 

Dr. Howard received a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in 1992 and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in 1994.  She received a Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University in 2001 and a Doctorate degree in Administration and Supervision from Tennessee State University in 2005.  Dr. Howard has been in the field of education since 1994 and has received many accolades.

 

Dr. Barbara L. Howard received formal theological study at Central Baptist Theological Seminary in 2009 and has been a long time student of the Bible.  She was licensed as a minister of the gospel in 2006.

 

Dr. Barbara L. Howard is the author of Wounded Sheep: How to Calm a Storm and Wounded Sheep: How to Heal Church Hurt.
